Who am I?

My name is Mary and I have always had a passion for the food that fuels our body and the movements that require that fuel. I believe that we have two choices every single day: What do we eat? and How do we move?

We get 3-5 meals a day to choose foods that either heal us or make us sicker. I want to help people make healthier choices with ease, more often. No one is perfect, we are all on a journey to health. My approach has and will always be about balance. I am not an “all or nothing person” and I don’t expect other people to be either. We are all going to have our different goals throughout life and I want to create a safe space for those people with motivation and support.

When It comes to diet I believe that quality is far more important to quantity.  There are hundreds of different diets out there and many of them have fit looking celebrities backing them up. I believe that our diets need to be OUR diets. One person might not do well with gluten or dairy while the other person might. For some sugar might be their down fall and for others its emotional eating. My goal is to work with people and figure out a holistic approach that works for them and them only.

When it comes to exercise I believe quality is far more important that quantity. (Ha, not a typo but at least you are paying attention.) I like to incorporate functional effective movements that will build lean muscles, better posture and more confidence in daily life. For some this might mean losing fat, while for other this might mean correcting diastasis recti after having a child. We can all run for an hour a day, or we can use our time more effectively with higher quality movements.
